Arty Factory

Artyfactory has a large range of free art and design tutorials. They cover art, art history and appreciation and design. Learn how to draw still life, charcoal portraits, draw animals and perspective drawings. Learn about cubism, fauvism, impressionism, expressionism, pop art and Italian renaissance art.

ART UK

Art UK is the online home for every public art collection such as museums, libraries, town halls and universities. They want to make art accessible to everyone and have a great range of resources for KS1 upwards. There are lesson plans and activity ideas on topics such as sculpting, drawing, observing art, textiles, patterns and famous artists.

The Art Teacher

The Art Teacher offers lesson ideas and plans, resources and projects plans aimed at KS3 & KS4. Find out about famous artists, learn drawing techniques, GCSE skills training, grid drawing, clay project, oil pastel project and so much more.

the phoenix

The Phoenix is a weekly magazine and on their website there is a free skills hub full of videos and instructionals by the Phoenix creators. Learn how to draw superheroes, animals, environments, landscapes, buildings, clothing, people and other characters.

Oak National Academy

Oak National Academy delivers free lessons in all subjects, supporting the national curriculum from early years to KS4. Their resources are intended to be used to compliment learning and help to support closing any gaps. They have a large range of lessons in art and design covering topics such as collage, ceramics, textiles, graphic design and pop art.

BBC Bitesize has art and design lessons from KS1 through to 16+. These cover a whole host of topics from drawing skills, painting, print making, 3D art, mixed media to learning about famous artists.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy offers free lessons from early years to year 9. Each subjects is broken down into short instructional videos followed by practice questions. They have a comprehensive section on art history that covers how to look at art, art through different periods in history and in different geographical regions.

Twinkl

Twinkl has a ton of resources available for free or as part of a subscription. They have art and design resources for all ages from early years up to KS3. Topics include famous artists, sculpture, drawing, painting, art history, colours, tones and techniques.

learnlaughplay

LearnLaughPlay offer weekly interactive classes for ages 3-16. They offer a very wide range of classes such as Computing, English, animal care, Minecraft club, quantum physics, classics, history, geography, maths, fashion design and becoming an artist. There is a lot to explore with 160 different lessons to choose from on their timetable. Classes cost £3 per week.

£2 tuition hub

£2 Tuition Hub offers live and recorded lessons in a wide range of subjects including art. Lessons cost £2 and are available in half termly blocks. They have lessons covering drawing, origami, cubism, optical illusions as well as many other topics.

Technology Triumphs

With Technology Triumphs you can enrol in a number of distance learning courses including art and design. The courses are aimed at 10+ and 13+ though the age is purely a guide. Learners can learn at their own pace using workbooks and pre-filmed videos.

outschool

Outschool offers a wide selection of classes on art and design. It is American based and some classes are one offs whereas others are a course. The classes are aimed at different age bands from 5-18.
